The following outlines our policies and guidelines.

Note that significant inspiration was taken from policies found on successful wikis.

The purpose of this wiki is to provide accurate, verifiable information for the canonical plot, characters, and lore of the Addicted universe. It recognizes two tiers of canonical material: the books, and the "extended universe" of everything else including Patreon content.

Verifiability

All canon article content must be verifiable. Verifiability is provided by citation of a reliable, accessible source that directly supports the contribution.

Mod Oligarchy

This wiki is not (currently) a democracy. This is essentially a security feature, and may be relaxed in the future, but for now: creation of articles is restricted.

Spoilers

As a general rule, this wiki is not spoiler free, and any material available to the public will be incorporated into the wiki's main content without spoiler tags.

Respect Patreon exclusivity

Do not make updates that fully summarize events of a bonus scene or provide detailed narrative involvement of a character if the content is exclusive to Patreon patrons and is not released to the public.

Details from publicly accessible previews of Patreon patron-exclusive content is allowed, as is descriptions of what the patron-exclusive content is in broad terms or referring to patron-exclusive content as a place where certain information may be found or as relevant to the article.

Wiki articles should respect that some Patreon members have paid to have access to certain content and should avoid giving summaries and in-depth detail on such content.

The purpose of this rule is to avoid providing alternative means of accessing or experiencing patron-exclusive content, and that purpose serves as a metric on whether an addition relating to patron-exclusive content is appropriate.
