Lily was born on August 1st, 1991

Lo was born on October 31st, 1990

They are 10 months and 1 day apart.

note that they are in the same grade since Lily’s parents put her in Kindergarten when she just turned 5 — making her one of the youngest in her class while Lo was one of the oldest in his class.

Anonymous asked: Is Ryke the only one who never has and doesn't see a therapists? Does Rose and Connor still see theirs? I remember in one book Rose said something along the lines of how she spends a lot of time in therapy to forget the stuff Samantha says. Is that still true or does she go for different reasons now? and does Samantha know her daughters go to therapy ? Someone needs to call her out on her parenting.

Yep, Ryke is the only one who doesn’t see a therapist. Rose definitely still sees hers. She talks about everything with her therapist, including her frustrations about Samantha. Connor’s therapist is one of his best friends, so he sees him often. None of them see therapy as a bad thing, so Samantha knows that they go.

Anonymous asked: In Ricochet Rose said Samantha was married and still miserable in her marriage. Is that true to this very day? Does she wish her marriage was different or that she was with someone else?

Rose’s perception is that Samantha isn’t always happy while being married – that marriage isn’t the key to happiness.

Samantha & Greg have had their rough patches (namely during the timeline of Hothouse Flower) and their marriage has strengthened a lot since then.

Anonymous asked: I absolutely love your book series. You have done such a remarkable job creating interesting multi-dimensional characters. Random question: what are the ages of the main characters' parents? I was just curious to know how old the Hales & Calloways were when they had their children. I got the impression that they were fairly young (similar to the situation Lily & Lo, and Rose & Connor now find themselves in). But I could have entirely made that up in my head, so I figured I'd ask the source(s)!

Thank you! And this is a great question :) We’ve been kinda ambiguous about the parents’ ages. The most we say is that they’re in their fifties.

To give you a sort of reference, Greg Calloway had Poppy when he was 24. He starts the series, Addicted to You, at 50.

Jonathan Hale is around the same age as Greg :D

So Jonathan Hale was always rich. Hale Co. first belonged to his father, so Jonathan inherited the baby product company.

Greg’s family wasn’t wealthy at all. He created Fizzle at a young age, and it was at Jonathan’s persistence and guidance that he decided to start his own business in the first place.

Greg Calloway met Jonathan when they were teenagers. Greg went to a public school, but he crossed paths with Jonathan, who instantly liked Greg (especially because Greg was so different from him). And then Jonathan brought Greg into his inner-circle.

That inner-circle included Samantha (Greg’s future wife). Jonathan and Samantha were first friends because their families were close, long before Greg arrived.

He thought that Sara Hale was going to be like Greg, really down-to-earth and not wrapped up in apperances (she’s from New Jersey and came from a non-wealthy background). He met her at a restaurant in New Jersey. She was the waitress.
